Old Strathcona Street Furniture Project

A $250,000 urban revitalization build. Fifty-plus custom street furniture pieces designed and installed in Old Strathcona — Edmonton’s first project of its kind.

Seventy-five percent of the capital cost was cost-shared through Prairies Economic Development Canada’s Community Revitalization Fund.

The project earned a nomination for a national tourism award and drew roughly one million social media views, including a feature on Nathan Fillion’s Instagram and Jimmy Kimmel’s platform. Searchable, third-party verifiable, and still standing.
